Aurelio De Laurentiis: Sergio Floccari To Napoli Deal Dead
The chief has pulled the brakes on the Sergio Floccari deal...
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has ruled out a move for Atalanta striker Sergio Floccari, despite reports claiming a deal was all but done.
The prolific Italian striker has been linked with the Partenopei this season. Reports on Tuesday claimed a deal had almost been struck between all the parties involved.
"Floccari does not want Napoli," De Laurentiis is quoted as saying in Il Corriere Dello Sport.
"I think it would be better for him to find somewhere else."
The chief is happy following the club’s win over Inter on Sunday and he is already making plans to bolster the squad for the 2009-10.
"We are happy to have beaten Inter, but this will not distract us from what we need to do, which is to strengthen Napoli for next season," added the president.
