Aurelio De Laurentiis: Sergio Floccari Unsure Over Napoli Move

The Partenopei chief has confirmed they have agreed terms with Atalanta, however, the striker is undecided.

Sergio Floccari of Atalanta is attracting plenty of interest of late with his consistent performances

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis was on cloud nine after last night’s impressive win over Serie A leaders Inter and revealed his plans to bolster the squad ahead of the next campaign.

The movie mogul has promised to bring in at least four new faces and there were reports last week that the Vesuviani had reached an agreement with Atalanta to sign star striker Sergio Floccari.

“I will meet with coach [Roberto] Donadoni and [director of sport] Pierpaolo Marino tomorrow and we will discuss what is needed for next season,” De Laurentiis said during a press conference.

“We have agreed terms with Atalanta for Floccari, however, the player seems undecided and we are not willing to persuade anyone.

“Whoever wears the Azzurri shirt has a great responsibility and when a player arrives here, he has to live up to these responsibilities.”

Floccari is reportedly being chased by a host of Serie A clubs, including Juventus, Roma and Genoa.

Yesterday, it was reported that the Grifoni have lodged a bid of €8 million plus the services of striker Fernando Forestieri, who is on loan at Serie B club Vicenza this season, for Floccari.
