thumbnail Hello,

Should the Brazilian return to the pitch, it will most likely be in his native country...

Official news came through early Friday afternoon that Inter had officially terminated the contract of Adriano. The player's agent, Gilmar Rinaldi, commented on the situation and his client's future.

"He definitely will not return to Italy and possibly not even Europe," he told Sky Sport 24.

"If he does return to play it could be in Brazil, because he is a player of the national team. It is difficult for someone of his age, 27-years-old, to stop playing, but right now he has no plans in mind."

Rinaldi then explained that the negotiations to rescind Adriano's contract with the Nerazzurri were relatively painless.

"We had no problems, we have always been able to speak with [Inter technical director] Marco Branca. We agreed it was best to cancel the agreement. Inter have not paid anything to Adriano or vice-versa."

Despite Adriano's personal problems, his representative believes the player will return to the pitch one day. "After eight years together, Adriano is certainly a Nerazzurri fan for life and I am sure that once he solves his issues he will go back to being a player."
