Report: Napoli Agree Terms With Atalanta For Sergio Floccari
The Italian media claim that the Partenopei are set to beat Juve, Roma and Genoa to the signature of the 27-year-old hitman.
Just mere days after Sportmediaset suggested that Genoa were on the verge of signing Atalanta star striker Sergio Floccari, it is now reported that Napoli have reached an agreement with the Orobici.
La Gazzetta dello Sport claims this morning that the Vesuviani are prepared to meet Atalanta’s demands and will table a bid of €8.5 million plus the full services of Austrian international wing-back Gyorgy Garics, who is currently co-owned by the two clubs. The second half of the defender’s contract is valued at €1.6m.Floccari has become hot property in the peninsula this season after netting 12 goals for the Lombardy side and has been repeatedly linked with a switch to Roma and Juventus, while also attracting interest from English and Spanish clubs.
However, Napoli will now have to start negotiations with the player’s representatives. Rumours suggest that Floccari would prefer to remain in northern Italy and seems in favour of a move to Genoa. However, the Grifoni are unwilling to meet his wage demands of €1.5m per year.
