Juventus Monitor Lazio Striker Goran Pandev – Report
Juventus could make a surprise move for the Biancocelesti ace this summer, according to reports in Italy...
Juventus are monitoring Lazio ace Goran Pandev for the future as the club continue to design their transfer plans.
La Gazzetta Dello Sport claims Claudio Ranieri likes the Macedonian international and he could make a move for him this summer as Lazio have not renewed his current deal, which expires in 2010.
The report suggests Lazio will need to sacrifice a striker if they permanently sign Mauro Zarate from Al-Sadd. President Claudio Lotito could be forced to sell Pandev, and Juve are favourites to pounce.
The Aquile man is currently on €500,000 per season, but voices around Formello imply he will be earning €1.5 million a year if he signs an extension until 2015. Should Juve's reported interest materialise into something concrete, the Old Lady are likely to offer Pandev far more.
Signing him will not be cheap as the report suggests that he will cost the Bianconeri around €20m. The Pandev to Juve operation is likely to depend on whether Lotito can convince Al-Sadd to part with Zarate.
