Thiago Silva Calls Sao Paulo’s Miranda To Milan

The Brazilian defender is enjoying life at Milanello and hopes to be joined by his compatriot next summer.

Milan brought in Thiago Silva from Brazilian club Fluminense last December. The 24-year-old penned a four-year contract but has been unable to feature in official matches so far due to rules on non-EU players.

“I am very happy and satisfied, but it is difficult to train without playing,” he admitted in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“But everyone is following and helping me here. I get on well with all my team-mates and in particular [Clarence] Seedorf and [Philippe] Senderos, besides the Brazilians.

“I don’t know the city very well because I don’t go out often but it is beautiful. I started studying Italian three months before moving here. I can understand it rather well now but I still struggle to speak it fluently.”

There are reports that Milan are keeping tabs on Sao Paulo stopped Joao Miranda de Souza Filho, simply known as Miranda.

“He is a great friend of mine and we meet in the national side,” Thiago Silva enthused.

“I would be really happy if he joined us. We have talked and I told him that it is really nice at Milan. We were the best defenders in the Brazilian league over the past two seasons. We could make a really good partnership.”
