Juventus Target Diego Will Do Well In Serie A - Brazil Coach Carlos Dunga
The 1994 World Cup winner feels Diego will succeed in Italy, should he complete his much talked over move to Juve...
Brazil coach Carlos Dunga has given Werder Bremen ace Diego the thumbs up to play in Serie A, believing the No. 10 will flourish on the peninsula.
Diego has been constantly linked with a move to Juventus by the Italian media. Speculation has been rife with reports claiming club and player have almost reached a deal. The Brazilian has never hidden the fact that he would like to play for Juventus, however, Werder Bremen have warned that signing him will be tough as they want to keep hold of their star man.
Nevertheless, Diego has the backing of Selecao coach Dunga, who is confident the player can excel and achieve great success in Serie A.
“I think Diego would do well either at Inter or at Juventus,” Dunga told La Gazzetta Dello Sport.
“Diego is a great champion. He has flair and technique, but he can only play two roles. Those are the trequartista or as a second striker.”
Dunga is currently on a tour of Europe, but he is not on the continent to sightsee. He is monitoring his players ahead of the World Cup qualifiers Brazil face in June against Uruguay and Paraguay.
