Artur explained how the Giallorosi’s first team goalkeeper is not going through his best moment as injuries and poor performances have undermined his season.

Roma goalkeeper Artur Moraes reflected on Sunday’s 3-2 win against Lecce which allowed his side to narrow the gap between themselves and fourth place.

Artur was a starter as Doni was unavailable for this match, and despite conceding two goals, he was still happy with his performance and that of the team.

"We were good enough not to give up and to score the third goal straight away," declared the Roma goalkeeper to Sky.

"We were a bit unlucky in the first goal. [Gianni] Munari did not hit the ball fully and the trajectory of his shot became deceptive and I couldn't do anything."

Artur then spoke about first-choice goalkeeper Doni, who has not been enjoying the best of times recently.

"He is going through a difficult moment due to his injury," he explained. "He's a bit sad, but he will know how to recover his best [form].

"With regards to myself, my future is in Rome and with Roma."

Since joining the Giallorossi last summer, the 27-year-old has played five league games and conceded five goals in his first season in Rome.
