Inter Goalkeeper Julio Cesar: Juventus’ Gianluigi Buffon Is Better Than Me
The Brazilian doesn't believe there is anyone who deserves to be labelled ‘the best goalkeeper in the world’, but he feels that Italian is just ahead of him...
The Brazilian is likely to start in between the sticks following his return from a minor injury. Inter enjoy a ten point lead over their fierce rivals from Turin following the Bianconeri's recent blip. Despite having played in a less than perfect manner during his last two matches, Cesar believes Buffon is still amongst the top stoppers in the game.
"Buffon is still one of the best in the world. I have not overtaken him yet," Cesar told La Stampa.
Cesar feels that at the highest levels only minor differences exist between the world's best shot-stoppers.
"There is no real major difference,” he said. “Myself, Buffon, [Iker] Casillas, [Petr] Cech and [Pepe] Reina are all more or less on the same level. I don't really think that there is a world's best goalkeeper."
The Brazilian has been outstanding in goal for Inter this season. His solid performances have earned his side many points, allowing them to take a serious grip on the Scudetto.
