The Swiss midfielder is delighted at completing a permanent move to the Granata.

Blerim Dzemaili joined Torino on loan from Premier League side Bolton Wanderers last summer, but the Piemontesi have now decided to take up their option to make the signing permanent.

Toro will pay €2 million and the 22-year-old will sign an extension until 2012.

“Dzemaili is a Torino player,” president Urbano Cairo announced yesterday during a visit to the Sisport training complex.

“He will stay with us until 2012. We believe in his qualities and he is a good lad, an example of professionalism.”

Dzemaili had joined Bolton from Zurich in 2007 but never made an appearance for the Trotters and was all smiles yesterday.

“You cannot imagine how happy I am,” he is quoted as saying in Tuttosport.

“Toro have given me back my life, I have found my smile again and I want to repay their faith.

“I will be able to grow up here and face so many important players.”

Toro are currently fourth from bottom in Serie A and will travel to San Siro this weekend to face Milan.
