thumbnail Hello,

The search for a new club continues for the former Juventus man...

Brazilian side Flamengo have rejected the chance to sign clubless Christian Vieri because of his proneness to injury, according to reports.

Sportmediaset.it claims the former Atalanta striker, who rescinded his contract with the Nerazzurri two weeks ago, was getting ready for a Brazilian adventure.

However, the club have turned him down without giving him a chance to show his capabilities to them. Flamengo vice president Kleber Leite was quick to reject the hitman, perhaps thinking about Inter's Adriano, who has also been linked with a return to Flamengo by Brazilian reports.

"The player was offered to us but we refused," Leite told Sportmediaset.

The report suggests the Brazilian side rejected the chance to sign the Italian because of a number of recurring injuries, as well as his 35 years.

In addition, voices coming from Brazil claim the club refused him because of his high wage demands. Earlier reports had suggested Vieri was set to have a trial with Los Angeles Galaxy, but the MLS side were quick to rule out such a move.

Vieri has also been linked with Ronaldo's side, Corinthians, but such a move seems unlikely.
