Diego Maradona isn't the only one who doesn't like Pele. 'L'Imperatore' has lashed out furiously against the Brazil legendInter striker Adriano has labelled Brazilian legend Pele as "jealous" after the multiple World Cup winner criticised the big striker following his recent troubles.
The Nerazzurri star is currently in hiding in Brazil as he tries to overcome some personal problems. Adriano hit out against the media and Pele as he reacted to the tormenting stories that have been spreading around the world.
"Pele used to say that I was not a phenomenon," Adriano told Il Giorno.
"Those words were said because he is jealous. I am convinced that I am stronger and I could have given more."
Although Adriano has been shunned the Brazilian great, he is not alone by any means. Former Inter ace Ronaldo is ready to show him the hand of help. The Corinthians striker is good friends with his fellow Brazilian and he is willing to help him out.
"It's a difficult time but I will do everything I can to help Adriano," the striker told La Gazzetta Dello Sport.
"I will help him in private rather than be another person who is quick to judge him. I am very sad for what is happening because there has been a lack of respect towards him."
