Inter’s number two goalkeeper, Francesco Toldo, joined the club from Fiorentina back in 2001, and has gone on to make 228 appearances for the Italian giants over time.

At the age of 37, the former Azzurri stopper is nearing the end of his career, however prior to doing so, he took some time recently to praise his coach Jose Mourinho, as well as the club’s number one, Julio Cesar.

“Mourinho is a very gifted individual, and he is someone who possesses the very best of coaching qualities,” Toldo affirmed in an interview with Mediaset.

“Julio Cesar meanwhile is a player who is doing incredible things. I have to say that he is one of the most improved players over the last few seasons.

“In the past, people have always compared us against each other, but I can say that we have a very good relationship, as we do with Paolo Orlandoni.”

The 37-year-old keeper had some final comments to make in regards to the race for the Scudetto this season.

“To be honest, I’m not really interested in talking about how we and the teams chasing us will go.

“We just have to worry about our own results, and see what happens from there.”

Inter face Palermo this weekend, and with doubts over the fitness of Julio Cesar, Toldo could play in goal for a rare 90 minutes.
