Christian Vieri and Atalanta recently agreed to mutually rescind the player's contract after he had found life tough in Bergamo. The 35-year-old has not been able to find much playing time and was jeered by fans during a recent exhibition match.
Earlier today, reports suggested the player had flown out to the United States and would go for a trial at MLS side LA Galaxy. However, according to the club, those stories have emerged are false.
"No. It's not true," was the brief statement by club officials on Tuesday evening.
