Milan Boss Carlo Ancelotti Linked To Chelsea Once Again
Voices from England are convinced that Ancelotti will move to Chelsea but the Italians are not so sure...
Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti remains favoured to replace Guus Hiddink at Chelsea this summer.
The west-London club chased the Italian last year, but they failed to land him. The Daily Mail suggests Roman Abramovich, owner of the Blues, has given up hope on persuading Hiddink to stay, fuelling speculation that Ancelotti is top of Chelsea’s wanted list.
However, Rossoneri vice president Adriano Galliani revealed last week that his coach will still be on the bench next term as his present deal expires in 2010. Nevertheless, the British tabloid claims the Italian has already sat down and reached an agreement with the Russian billionaire to sign this summer.
The reports goes on to suggest that the Chelsea players have already been told that Ancelotti will be the new coach next season, however, dressing room voices claim some players want Inter boss Jose Mourinho back.
The latest claims from England come just a week after reports in Spanish paper Marca had the Reggiolo-born tactician down for the Real Madrid hot-seat after a secret dinner with Florentino Perez. The Italians denied those claims.
