Some good news for Roma as the hitman's injury is less serious than was at first thought...Roma striker Jeremy Menez has been given the all-clear by medics at the Villa Stuart clinic following an ankle injury he sustained against Bologna on Sunday.
The French hitman was replaced at half time by Julio Baptista during the 2-1 win over Bologna after he went down in pain following a challenge with an opponent. The Giallorossi medical staff had suspected a fractured ankle when Menez limped off, but Romanews.eu reports the player is out of serious danger.
Menez paid a visit to the clinic early this morning, and following examination, he came out in the clear and was able to drive away in his car.
Reports suggest the striker is suffering from some bruising, but he could be in contention to make the derby showdown with Lazio on Sunday.
Roma are fighting for fourth place and they moved a step closer following their win over the Emiliani. Captain Francesco Totti scored twice to edge his side further towards their seasonal objectives.
