Two penalties from Francesco Totti helped the Giallorossi defeat a battling Bologna team 2-1. Goal.com rates the participants...
Doni- 6.5: When he was called upon, he was solid enough, getting down well to save and blocking all the angles.
Motta- 5.5: He has had better performances in a Roma shirt. Drifted in and out of the match even though he was full of running.
Mexes- 7.5: Despite a couple of rash challenges, the French international was insurpassable in defence and covered well.
Panucci- 6.0: A decent showing for the veteran, but did miss an open goal from point black range in the first-half.
Tonetto- 5.0: He was a bit lucky to be awarded a penalty early on in the match and had little effect on the proceedings afterwards.
De Rossi- 6.5: The midfield general was always positioned perfectly and showed his range of passing ability throughout the match.
Pizarro- 6.0: Hard to give him a rating. He was at the heart of some good attacking moves and had one decent effort on goal, but he went missing for extended periods.
Brighi- 5.5: He was full of running as usual, but his passing lacked accuracy and he spurned some good opportunities that would have ended the match as a contest earlier.
Perrotta- 5.5: Showed plenty of rust after returning from a long injury lay-off. However, his willingness to throw himself into the mix, both offensively and defensively, was still present.
Menez- 5.0: He had one run and effort cleared off the line. However, performances like this will ensure he leaves during the summer. He simply has not been able to offer anything out of the ordinary.
Totti- 8.0: 'Man of the match' and not just because he converted two penalties. His passing was spot on and he held up the ball too, even uncharacteristically doing some chasing in midfield. An excellent return for the captain!
Baptista- 6.0, Riise- 6.5, Montella- N/A
Antonioli- 6.5: The experienced 'keeper made some good saves against his former team but could do nothing about the well-taken penalties.
Zenoni- 5.0: Too often he was seen apologising to his companions. His quality coming forward was lacking.
Castellini- 6.5: Cleared a powerful effort from Menez off the line in the first-half and prevented many other dangerous opportunities.
Moras- 6.0: A decent performance, but he struggled to deal with the pace of the Giallorossi attack at times.
Lanna- 5.5: Gave away the second penalty when fouling Julio Baptista. Many of Roma's attacks came down his side.
Lavecchia- N/A: His only contribution was conceding a penalty before he had to be substituted due to injury.
Mudingayi- 6.0: Great energy in the second-half, but not enough possession or quality. Still, the Belgian is clearly commited to the cause of avoiding relegation.
Volpi- 7.0: The veteran central midfielder dictated the play for his team and nearly scored with a couple of long range efforts. He is a key player for this Rossoblu side, despite his age. Also grabbed an assist.
Mutarelli- 6.0: The former Lazio player has not made an impact since joining the team.
Bombardini- 7.0: The former Roma player was one of the best on the pitch. His incisive runs down the wing caused Motta to be pinned back and he set up some good opportunities for his side. Sacrificed near the end as Mihajlovic threw on more attackers.
Di Vaio- 6.5: He was invisible for the first 30 minutes, but he came into the game much more as the match wore on and hit the post with a fine strike from outside the area in the second half.
Marazzina- 6.5, Adailton- 6.0, Mingazzini - N/A
