Pavese Looking Forward To Serie A Debut As Lecce Coach
The Giallorossi will visit San Siro this evening, and their stand-in gaffer hopes his top-flight bow produces a good result.
Lecce assistant coach Paolo Pavese will have the honour to sit on his team’s bench this evening as his side take on Milan in matchday 30 of Serie A.
Coach Luigi De Canio is suspended, therefore Pavese will be taking his place for one day, hoping that he can lead the team to achieve an important result.
"Debuting on the bench against Milan and in a stadium like San Siro, is nice," declared De Canio's right-hand man to uslecce.it.
"However, apart from this aspect, the thing that is most important to me, will be the final result.
"A tough task awaits us, it's useless to hide it, as we face one of the best teams in the world; from our end we will need great commitment and determination to try and have a good performance."
Lecce need more than just a positive showing as they continue their bid for Serie A survival. They currently stand in 19th place, two points behind the survival zone.
