Massimiliano Cappioli: Miccoli Could Be Decisive For Palermo Against Torino
The Rosanero will be host the Granata this afternoon in a game which Cappioli believes will be quite a difficult one for his old side.
Former Palermo player Massimiliano Cappioli foresees a fierce battle ahead against Torino today in Sicily, as both teams have different reasons to search for a win.
In particular, Cappioli believes that the match could be swayed towards the hosts by forward Fabrizio Miccoli and his ability to invent a world-class move at any moment of the game.
“Palermo-Torino will be a battle,” declared the current Pescatori Ostia coach to stadionews.it.
“It’s a very difficult game for both teams and the moves of the individual players could be very important.
“In all of this I think that Miccoli could be decisive in this match.”
However, Cappioli does not think that Palermo can mount a challenge for a Champions League spot.
“I think that nine points are too much, but the distance from the UEFA Cup [Europa League] place is not overwhelming,” he explained.
Palermo are just four points behind a place in Europe as they have 42 points, along with Cagliari, with nine games remaining before the end of the season.
