Juventus Eye Tottenham Hotspur Defender Gareth Bale - Report
The energetic Welsh international has caught the attention of the Bianconeri...
Over the past few weeks, Juventus officials have promised reinforcements in the summer and it appears one of the names on their shortlist is that of Tottenham Hotspur defender Gareth Bale, according to Tuttosport.
The 19-year-old is considered a hot prospect in Europe and the Bianconeri are reportedly interested in bringing him to the club to compete for the left-back position with Cristian Molinaro and Paolo De Ceglie.
However, the Italian club will have to fend off interest from Premier League giants Chelsea and Manchester United, who have also been impressed by the former Southampton player.
As a possible replacement, Spurs are considering a move for Real Madrid's Gabriel Heinze. The Argentine international has already had a stint in England, playing for Man United between 2004 and 2007.
Bale has made 27 appearances in all competitions for the north London outfit this season.
