Lazio President Lotito Declares Carrizo Is Not Going Anywhere
The shot stopper may be unhappy, but Lotito has stated he will honour his deal with the club...
Lazio goalkeeper Juan Pablo Carrizo has recently voiced his displeasure at being demoted to second choice at Lazio since the turn of the year, despite still being Argentina's first choice keeper. President Claudio Lotito is unhappy with the player declaring his unrest through the media.
"He wants to go? He has a contract, so then he will remain at Lazio," snapped the Bianconcelesti patron, to the Corierre dello Sport.
However, Lotito then took on a more diplomatic tone regarding the situation, hoping a compromise will be worked out in the future.
"Maybe Carrizo, not quite fluent in the Italian language, has interpreted some things the wrong way. The choices are related to technical aspects of football," he concluded.
The 24-year-old arrived in Rome last summer after transferring from River Plate. He has made 20 Serie A appearances this season.
