At first he accepted the bench but in the past few weeks he has made it quite clear that his intention is to leave the Biancocelesti, blaming the Italian mentality for not understanding his skills.
"I think that in the Italian football, coaches are convinced that goalkeepers should be exclusively technical," declared the Argentinean player during a press conference reported by Lalaziosiamonoi.it.
"I'm referring to technical movements, coming out for the ball, saves and so on, and that every goalkeeper should have these movements inside him from beforehand.
"We Argentineans are more intuitive and we resolve the game at that moment, maybe with a nice move, but all of this is not liked in Italy.
"However, now I must remain calm and wait."
During his first season at Lazio, Carrizo has so far played 19 league games and conceded 25 goals - statistics which have not impressed either fans or critics.
