Roma Fear Genoa More Than Fiorentina - Perrotta
Giallorossi man Simone Perrotta says I Grifoni are more of a threat to Roma's Champions League qualification than the Viola...
It’s a three-way battle for the last Champions League qualifying spot in Serie A - between Roma, Fiorentina and Genoa.
Fiorentina have been pretty certain of fourth place in recent seasons but the re-emergence of Juventus has complicated matters.
Add to that the fact that Genoa are doing so well, and the Viola are now a little worried.
Roma midfielder Simone Perrotta believes I Grifoni are the side they have to keep an eye on.
Speaking to Sky, the Italian international said, “Genoa are more dangerous because they are playing with more enthusiasm.
“They are a side that are talented, clever and well organised. If it did not cost us, I would say they deserve the Champions League.
“Fiorentina are used to this fight,” the World Champion continued, “And they have a fine side.
“As far as we are concerned, we have to get a few injured players back, but Roma have every chance of coming fourth and that is where we hope to be at the end of the season.”
Right now, the league sees Genoa on 51 points, Fiorentina on 49 and Roma on 46.
There are nine games to go and 27 points up for grabs, so anything can happen.
