Fiorentina Defeat Hurts Siena – Daniele Galloppa
The Bianconeri suffered a 1-0 defeat in the Tuscan derby, in a game which they feel they did not deserve to lose.
Siena midfielder Daniele Galloppa has looked back at Sunday's 1-0 defeat against Fiorentina with more than a tinge of regret.
The Bianconeri acquitted themselves well against the Viola, and Galloppa believes they should have returned home with at least a point.
"It's a defeat which hurts, especially because we wanted to go to Florence and win, with our tactic and our balance," explained the Tuscan side's player to Sky.
"There's disappointment for the defeat. There are still nine games left and we need nine more points, therefore we cannot think about relaxing ourselves; we must resume continuity of positive results.
"It's a pity that we paid for the very few defensive mistakes we made, especially because we had controlled the entire game and we had proposed ourselves even in attack."
Following this defeat, Siena are still in 15th place with 31 points from 29 games played, seven points above the relegation zone with nine games left before the end of the season.
