Aurelio De Laurentiis Pleased With Napoli’s Performance Against Milan
The Azzurri managed a goalless draw at the weekend and could have won but for a controversially disallowed effort...
Tuttomercatoweb.com reports that Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is quite happy with how his players performed against Milan on Sunday evening in a game which ended 0-0.
Despite the considerable gap between the two sides in the standings, it was Napoli who went closest to winning the game, with Marek Hamsik finding the net only to be questionably ruled offside.
"We saw a nice Napoli side," commented De Laurentiis. "We don't have the many champions that Milan have, but we did not see the difference.
"I was pleased to see [Gianluca] Grava again, as he proved his attachment to the shirt, and also [Daniele] Mannini, who solves in a great way our problem on the wing.
"Verdone called me up to tell me that we were cheated again. The disallowed goal should have stood - pity."
This was the second point obtained by Napoli since Roberto Donadoni's arrival last week. They are currently in 11th place, thanks to the 37 points obtained in 29 games played.
