Report: Carlo Ancelotti Will Walk From Milan If He Is Not Granted Reinforcements
‘Carletto’ wants at least two big-name reinforcements and could walk away if his demands are not met.
Milan general manager Adriano Galliani warned yesterday that the current economic climate will not allow the Rossoneri to splash out in the transfer market next summer. La Gazzetta dello Sport suggests that coach Carlo Ancelotti could slam the door on the club and join Real Madrid if the squad is not to be strengthened adequately.
It is suggested that the tactician has set his sights on two big signings; one to bolster his ageing defensive line and the other to add more fire power to his attack.Chelsea central defender Alex is believed to be his primary target for the rearguard, whereas Barcelona hitman Samuel Eto’o and Arsenal star Emanuel Adebayor are the hottest names for the front line.
Ancelotti is confident that Milan would be competitive in both Italy and Europe with these two additions but he is unwilling to compromise and could resign from his position if his transfer demands are scrapped.
Should the ex-Juventus coach turn his back on the Diavoli and accept the rumoured advances from Real Madrid, technical director Leonardo is odds-on favourite to take over at Milanello.
