Lazio suffered a shock 3-0 defeat at the hands of Chievo in the Stadio Olimpico this afternoon and defender Emilson Cribari had some very harsh things to say during the post-match interviews.
“At the end of the season I am leaving,” said the Brazilian, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.
Cribari was largely to blame for Chievo’s second goal, and was eventually taken off by his coach Delio Rossi. He later explained that he took exception at his removal from the pitch and the response of the Lazio faithful.
“I was not happy about the substitution and the whistles of the crowd,” Cribari stated, “I know I made a big mistake in the first half, but I really felt picked on.
“I promise to give everything I can in my last few games, but then I want to leave. I don’t even care if [Lazio president Claudio] Lotito does not pay me all my wages, I am out of here.”
Reggina are rumoured to be interested in signing the 28-year-old stopper, who joined the Biancocelesti from Udinese in 2005.
