David Beckham has suffered the first set back of his Milan career after going down in training with a twisted ankle, and he is now looking in doubt for the game against Siena this weekend.
The Englishman was unable to continue the session which finished at 16:30 CET after the squad was put through their paces with a mixture of running, stretching and football exercises.
Carlo Ancelotti finished the session with a mini match, but it is believed Beckham went down before the game, whilst taking part in individual exercises with the ball.
'Becks' had to abandon the pitch. Milan have now confirmed his injury, and he is set to undergo further examinations as the Rossoneri's medical staff try to put a time on his recovery.
A statement on the club's official website reads:
"During the course of this afternoon's training session, David Beckham suffered a twisted ankle to his right foot. His condition will be analysed within the next few days."
It's not what Carlo Ancelotti would have wanted as a number of stars are out with various knocks. Beckham is now doubtful for the weekend.
