thumbnail Hello,

The Granata supremo was satisfied with his side's effort on Saturday night, even though they were defeated in the final minutes by their local rivals...

Torino president Urbano Cairo is hoping to see the same determination his side showed against Juventus last night in the upcoming Serie A games.

The Granata lost 1-0 but showed a lot of grit in a game from which they were close to taking a positive result.

"The defeat is never a nice moment, but we played a good game," commented the Torino patron to Sky.

"Maybe there was an active offside of [Vincezo] Iaquinta on Juve's goal. I must say that the lads played with great heart as they put their soul in it.

"Now we must start again with the same determination and we must think about the next game.

"[Walter] Novellino made some choices, I respect them. Whatever he does is good and [Rolando] Bianchi will have other occasions to score."

Torino are currently in 16th place with 24 points from 27 games played, but following this afternoon's matches they could be back down in the relegation zone.
