thumbnail Hello,

The Grifoni tactician has given his support to the under-fire Portuguese ahead of their face-to-face at Marassi tomorrow.

It’s not easy to run into Jose Mourinho admirers in the peninsula nowadays, however, the Inter boss can be sure that one will be sitting a few meters away from him tomorrow afternoon.

The Inter trainer blasted the Italian media and everything that goes with it earlier this week. He is certainly not making headway in understanding the depths of Calcio or earning the respect of his colleagues.

“Mourinho probably said a few harsh things, perhaps not using very balanced terms,” Genoa coach Gian Piero Gasperini told Turin-based paper La Stampa.

“But I reckon that some ideas, when expressed by an important coach like him - a cultured person who has had experiences in other countries - should not be underestimated because they can bring us to better observe our reality.

“All in all, I think that the controversy sparked by his declarations at least managed to push the entire football world to take a hard look at itself.”

Fifth-placed Genoa host Serie A leaders Inter at the Stadio Marassi tomorrow.
