As the Granata prepare to face their crosstown rivals, the club patron has warned his players not to dismiss what could be a somewhat distracted Old Lady...Torino president Urbano Cairo is looking forward to the derby date with Juventus but warned his players that they must not underestimate their opponents, who have a Champions League game against Chelsea on Tuesday.
For the Granata this clash is particularly important, as they need survival points considering they are very close to the relegation zone.
"The derby against Juve is a game you feel a lot when it's in proximity," explained the Toro patron to Sky.
"This is an important game which is worth three points, just like the others. The players, all of them, have the will to do well and [coach Walter] Novellino is preparing them.
"There is the highest attention to play a great game. I don't think that Torino arrives to the derby in a better psychological and physical condition than Juventus.
"We're fine, we had seven consecutive positive results and we did well also at Cagliari.
"Juve have an ample squad and important players, let's not underestimate them, they must be held in high consideration. It will be a derby which we must play with humility."
Torino are currently in 16th place with 24 points from 26 games played, just one point above the relegation zone.
