Frank Rijkaard’s Agent: Milan Have Contacted Us, But…

The representative for the former Barca tactician has revealed that the Rossoneri repeatedly talk with his client, but have never mentioned a ‘bench role’.
Milan general manager Adriano Galliani has warned that the club will ring the changes next summer if their objective of at least a third-place finish in the current campaign is not met.
Carlo Ancelotti could be shown the door after more than seven years at the helm, and the Italian press speculate that former San Siro legend Frank Rijkaard is the favourite to take over.
“We speak with Milan very often, but about completely different matters,” the Dutchman’s agent Perry Overeem told Calciomercato.it.
“We have never talked about him becoming the next Milan boss. Of course, he has a Rossoneri past and should they show an interest and make a proposal, we would carefully evaluate it.”
There are whispers that English giants Chelsea have also lined up the 46-year-old as their next manager and Spanish media have suggested an agreement has already been reached.
“That’s not true and they have not even approached us,” maintained the representative.
“But the Premier League, as well as Serie A and La Liga, are great championships. Rijkaard is a fan of spectacular football and there are several great tournaments in different countries.”
