Milan will entertain Bundesliga side Werder Bremen at San Siro in the second leg of their UEFA Cup last 32 tie.

Carlo Ancelotti’s men came away from the Weserstadion with a 1-1 draw last week, Werder's Brazilian star, Diego, cancelling out Filippo Inzaghi’s 66th European strike in the final minutes of the encounter.

“I am ready, even though I am not accustomed to playing two or three games in a row anymore,” Inzaghi is quoted as saying on MilanNews.it.

“But I do not want to miss out on such an important game against Werder. I am prepared to have a great second part of the season.”

Milan squeezed past Cagliari last weekend, but sections of the San Siro crowd jeered coach Ancelotti, as rumours persist of his departure from the club next summer.

“He still has the support of the club and my rapport with him is fantastic,” insisted ‘Superpippo’. “Did anyone notice that I ran to hug him soon after netting in Bremen?”
