Roma Captain Francesco Totti: Arsenal, Here We Come

‘Er Pupone’ admits the Giallorossi were off key against Siena last night, but the hard-fought win will boost their morale for the trip to the Emirates Stadium.

Roma had to dig deep to overcome a gutsy Siena side yesterday, as they struggled to create scoring chances and only managed to scrape past the Tuscans thanks to a superb Rodrigo Taddei effort.

“It was crucial to get a win against Siena and this result is very important,” Francesco Totti is quoted as saying by the Corriere dello Sport.

“It was a very difficult test and we certainly were not at our best. But I am pleased with the result and also the full debuts of Filipe and [Souleymane] Diamoutene."

Roma will now turn their focus on the Champions League, as they will face Arsenal in the first leg of their last-16 tie at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday.

“Yes, we will now head for London and it will be a fascinating encounter,” the Lupi captain admitted, before explaining his decision to walk straight to the locker room after being replaced ten minutes from time last night.

“I only did it so that I would not get cold, but I had notified the club’s officials sitting on the bench,” he concluded.
