I Don't Want To Go Back To Milan - Oddo

Bayern Munich right-back Massimo Oddo has told newspapers he is happy in Germany as rumours of a return to Milan gather pace...

World Cup winning right-back Massimo Oddo went to Germany to join Bayern Munich a few summers ago, and it was not just to keep compatriot Luca Toni company, as he has been telling the German newspaper Abendzeitung

The ex-Lazio man has reflected on football as a whole in his long interview. He began by saying that his dream is to become sports minister.

“In Italy, football has a lot of problems, it is almost impossible to go and watch a game with children, and that is very sad.

“Here, people who are violent in the stadium, get arrested, locked up and banned, and this kind of thing is missing in Italy.

“A parent can take his child to a game without being afraid, and opposing fans meet each other after the game, people are very polite.”

Turning to his own future, the defender stated emphatically, “You are wrong, if you think I am going back to Milan.”

As the Rossoneri’s defensive crisis deepens, people at Milan headquarters may disagree with that view, but we shall have to wait and see what happens.
