Inter's Adriano: We Can Beat Manchester United
The Brazilian is quietly confident that his side can topple Sir Alex Ferguson's men, stating that he is ready to dedicate a goal to his children...
Inter striker Adriano has fired warning shots towards Old Trafford ahead of the big showdown in the Champions League with Manchester United next week.
The Nerazzurri welcome the English side to the San Siro on Tuesday in the first leg of their round of 16 clash. With such a big lead over Juventus domestically, Jose Mourinho's men will be focussing all their attentions towards beating the Premier League side.
Adriano is well aware of the quality the Red Devils possess but the Brazilian is also confident that his side can topple the Premier League outfit.
"I don't want to make any promises [about the Champions League] but the will to win is there," Adriano told Sky Sport Italia.
"If I score [against United] then I will dedicate the goal to my children.”
Adriano's goal in the Derby della Madoninna last Sunday helped fire his side further towards glory in the championship race, however, he is not getting carried away just yet, insisting that anything can happen from now until the end of term.
"We all know that we have a great advantage on the teams behind us," added the hitman.
"However, we have to win every game. We have to stay focussed on the matches that remain."
Inter clash with Bologna tomorrow in Serie A tomorrow before hosting United in their Champions League match in midweek.
