Mourinho Closes The Door On Quaresma
Inter coach Jose Mourinho has closed the door on Ricardo Quaresma by insisting that he has enough wingers in his team, even though the Porto man would give them another dimension.....
The ‘Special One’ has been
after Quaresma all summer but his €27m price tag seems to have scuppered any
chance of negotiations between the two clubs.
The former Chelsea coach is aware of the Dragoes midfielder’s abilities but it seems as if he will not take his interest in the winger any further.
“Quaresma can give the team a chance to play with other options but we already have plenty of midfielder’s in the side,” Mourinho told Record.
“If we want to play with wingers, we have [Luis] Figo and [Amantino] Mancini.
“Or we can play with one winger and two strikers and we are not short of names in that department either.”
Just days ago, Inter president Massimo Moratti revealed that he was not prepared to pursue the Porto star and his message seems to have reached Mourinho.
