Ancelotti Admits Nesta Concerns

Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti admits his concerns over Alessandro Nesta’s back problem as his side prepare to take on Manchester City.
The Rossoneri are aiming to bounce back from their 5-0 defeat to Chelsea last week but Ancelotti has his mind focused on matters off the pitch as a number of injuries have affected his side.

Nesta, Kaka, Filippo Inzaghi and Marco Borriello are all in the treatment room and the coach is worried about an on-going back problem which is affecting the defender.

“I am really worried about Nesta’s situation more than Kaka’s. The defender’s situation is more complicated and he has been out for a while,” Ancelotti told Il Corriere Dello Sport.

“Both players are unavailable and they are trying to recover. Kaka has his knee problems where as Nesta could have a potentially serious back injury.”

The coach also had a few words ahead of the friendly game against City and he is hoping the team has motivation to do well.

“We have to play well, especially at the back in order to avoid another poor result,” said the coach.

“We are working well and we are trying to eradicate the mistakes against Chelsea.

“I hope we can come away with a positive result from the game against Manchester City.”

The former Juventus coach is likely to start with Nelson Dida in goal and Alberto Paloschi as the lone ranger up front when his team take on the English club on Saturday.
