Carlo Ancelotti’s future at Milan seems safe following his meeting with Adriano Galliani. The chief demanded answers for the club’s recent troubles on the pitch.
Speculation that the coach would be axed was rife in Italy, however, the club have announced that the meeting went well and that there are no major problems, it seems.
A statement on the club’s official website reads:
“The work related meeting between Adriano Galliani and Carlo Ancelotti went ahead and in complete harmony.
“The summit began at 10:30 and finished at 12:30.”
Galliani then explained the reasons behind his decision to call the reunion as he left the office.
“I didn’t like the attitude of the team after the game against Chelsea and so I called the meeting. We have also decided that Pato and Ronaldinho will return to Milan straight after the Olympics,” said Galliani.
Milan have had a number of problems thus far during pre-season with injuries and poor results taking their toll on everyone.
The club will be hoping to bounce back and begin the new season with a flourish.
