Ibrahimovic Backs Mancini Sacking
Inter star Zlatan Ibrahimovic has come out in support of President Massimo Moratti's decision to sack Roberto Mancini in order to probably replace him with Jose Mourinho.
Mancini received his marching orders from Moratti earlier this week, and Jose Mourinho is now almost certain to succeed him on the Inter bench.
"I do not know anything more on the change of coach,” Ibrahimovic told the Gazzetta dello Sport.
“However, it is a decision of Moratti, he is the head, he decides, and what he does is right.
“Mourinho? He is a great coach, who doesn’t know that?”
There have been many reports this season of a divided dressing room at Inter, and that this was also a reason for Mancini's exit. However Ibrahimovic insists that all is fine at the club.
“I see an Inter that is well, the family is happy,” he stressed.
“I have won two championships and now will try to succeed also in the Champions League. I remain content."
Finally Ibrahimovic spoke about the dramatic final day in Serie A, when he came off the bench to score two second half goals at Parma in order to clinch the Scudetto.
“It was surreal. We had still not scored and Roma were winning," he explained.
“Then I came on and I scored. To see the whole bench enter the field at that time was a great feeling. One must experience it to understand it."
