November 20, 2010: Liverpool 3-0 West Ham

A first-half blitz guided by Roy Hodgson saw Glen Johnson, Dirk Kuyt and Maxi Rodriguez find the net before the interval. The loss left Avram Grant's side at the foot of the Premier League and heaped more pressure on the Israeli.

The midfielder has consistently offered calm in an Upton Park storm with his composure and finesse on the ball. Avram Grant relies heavily on Parker - not only to give half-time team talks, but also to break up attacking play from their opponents, and against Meireles and potentially Steven Gerrard, the former Chelsea man should have his hands full. It will be interesting to note whether he can cope defensively, as well as aid West Ham's build-up play.

The Portuguese midfielder has been given a new lease of life under Kenny Dalglish and his recent scoring record suggests he will be a threat at Upton Park. It'll be interesting to see whether the former Porto man can break free from the industrious Scott Parker, who will likely be delegated the responsibility of picking up Liverpool's runs from their attacking midfielders.
Kenny Dalglish has only lost one league match since taking charge and it's easy to underestimate the Scot's impact since his January arrival.

West Ham's bolstered attack could give the visitors problems and Demba Ba has shown early promise of being able to score consistently. But Liverpool look more assured with every passing game and if Meireles is on form, the midfielder could make the difference.
