Commentary

FULL TIME - The Mariners have jumped into fifth position on the ladder after an emphatic 4-1 win over the Phoenix. The scores at half time was 1-0 in favour of the Mariners, after an own goal from Kaluderovic. The second half had goals to De Silva and Hoole to give the Mariners a 3-0 lead over the Phoenix. A 71st minute goal to Vidosic gave the Phoenix some hope but it was never to be, with Buhagiar putting an exclamation point on the game.

The Mariners find themselves in ninth position on the ladder and are still considered a work in progress. Their assignment today is beat the Phoenix and they will climb to fifth position on the ladder.
The Phoenix have had a less than impressive start to the season and are sitting on the bottom of the ladder, however a win today and they are back up to sixth on the ladder.
