That's it from me - @HushKerai - thanks for joining me for today's match and I hope to see you soon for another. Until then, good bye!
Those three points see Spurs up to second in the Premier League table just behind Arsenal, but above Liverpool on goal difference. It looks like Norwich will slip to 13th after the loss, depending on other results.
FULL-TIME: Tottenham 2-0 Norwich
90' + 3'
This one is all over now despite Norwich's late push here. The Canaries are doing their best to give the travelling support something to go home happy about.
90' + 1'
Erik Lamela is properly involved for the first time and his cross almost gives Soldado a chance, but it's kicked out. Snodgrass then fouls the Argentine in the corner.
Sebastian Bassong is called into action again. This time he clears Walker's right-wing cross as Tottenham look for a third goal. There will be four minutes of time added on.
Norwich win a free kick right on the edge of the area, slightly to the right. Robert Snodgrass goes for goal but his left-footed strike slams straight into the wall, which looked suspiciously close to the ball...
Yellow Card Hugo Lloris
More danger for the hosts to deal with as Norwich win their first corner of the afternoon after Spurs struggle to clear a deep ball into the area. It's headed away by Paulinho quite easily though.
Snodgrass intercepts a Dembele pass, and Norwich have the ball in Spurs half. But another chance to threaten is wasted and Spurs win the ball from a loose pass and break.
Gylfi Sigurdsson looks a bit miffed as he is replaced by Sandro with a few minutes to play. The Icelandic midfielder looked like he might have bagge an unlikely hat-trick. Sandro comes on in a change which should sure up the points.
Norwich manage their best period of possession since the first half and it gives substitute Pilkington the chance to break down the left, but he's flagged offside. Just not happening for the Canaries.
Another Andros Townsend cross is out for a throw. The youngster has been heavily involved in the action this afternoonn but he has lacked final product.
Christian Eriksen walks off to a standing ovation from the White Hart Lane crowd. Lewis Holtby comes on in his place.
Yellow Card Johan Elmander
CHANCE! An excellent opportunity for Norwich as Redmond's deflected strike after a Lloris punch falls to van Wolfswinkel in the box. But he takes too many touches, allowing Rose to make a block tackle.
CLOSE! Sebastian Bassong's sloppiness at the back allows Tottenham to drive forward once again, and after Soldado miscontrols Paulinho's pass, Townsend gets in a shot that Ruddy saves with his foot.
Snodgrass and Van Wolfswinkel combine down the right flank before Snodgrass is upended by the physical, but fair, Danny Rose. Norwich have had their moments but Tottenham don't look too concerned when they do forray forward.
Erik Lamela has been told to warm up by Andre Villas-Boas. His introduction into the game looks imminent.
CLOSE! Gylfi Sigurdsson is on the hunt for his hat-trick and nearly gets with a right-footed piledriver from range. John Ruddy does well to get a strong hand on it to parry it away.
Sebastian Bassong has to get across quickly to reach the ball ahead of Soldado, who was played into space down the right flank. The Frenchman does well to clear the danger.
Yellow Card Javier Garrido
Norwich look like they might get a glimmer of a chance on the break but Johan Elmander is flagged offside as they look to make in-roads on the Tottenham goal.
It's all Spurs . A neat interchange between Paulinho, Rose and Sigurdsson almost provides another opening for the hosts but they're continuing to put pressure on this Norwich rearguard.
Is there any way back for Chris Hughton's men? They still have Gary Hooper on the bench if they want to increase their goal threat. Looking like a tall order though...
A rare attack for Norwich ends with Nathan Redmond mistake. The so far impressive youngster overhits a simple enough pass for Snodgrass on the wing. Tottenham look very comfortable now.
Goal Gylfi Sigurdsson
GOAL! Tottenham double their lead through Sigurdsson! Spurs worked a fine move to get Paulinho away down the right flank unmarked, he fires a low cross along the six-yard box for the Iceland international to tap in at the back post!
First effort of the second half comes from the right boot of Christian Eriksen but it's an audacious effort from range which sails both high and wide.
Norwich take the kick-off and we are underway for the second half!
Any thoughts or questions to you at half-time, send them into me via @HushKerai. How do Norwich get back in to this? Should Andre Villas-Boas introduce Erik Lamela after the break?
Looking at a replay of Tottenham's goal. I didn't give near enough credit to Christian Eriksen for his final ball. A deft, perfectly-weighted pass, which sliced the Canaries backline open. Fine debut for the Dane.
For all those chances Spurs had, if Ricky van Wolfswinkel had been able to steer his effort, following Redmond's cross, a yard to the right, then the Canaries would be trodding in at the break level.
Tottenham have enjoyed 73% possession in this first half and have had 13 shots on goal. Just a sign of their domination, but they only have a single goal to show for it.
HALF-TIME: Tottenham 1-0 Sunderland
45' + 1'
Only one minute of time will be added on at the end of the half.
Nice passing and interchange between Christian Eriksen and Mousa Dembele. Those two look have forged a fine understanding very quickly. Great news for the home side's fans.
CHANCE! Fine Tottenham move as Walker crosses from the right, and Soldado tries to connect but Bassong puts just enough pressure on the Spaniard. The ball comes across to Rose, who fires over from a tight angle.
Despite that scare from Van Wolfswinkel, Tottenham look comfortable with their one-goal lead and looks to cruising into half-time with a lead...
Tottenham intercept an overhit Johnson pass allowing Eriksen to break forward. He gives the ball to Dembele, who almost releases Sigurdssson on the edge of the box but Norwich manage to snuff out the danger.
CLOSE! Ricky van Wolfswinkel nearly equalises! The Dutchman gets on the end of a low cross from Redmond but his side footed finish is put wide from close range under pressure from Rose.
Vertonghen is takes one in the face from Elamander. He's fine though, and there's no booking. Walker is again dispossessed as the hosts build an attack but Spurs are swiftly back to win the ball.
Soldado tries to get onto Rose's lofted pass, but Ruddy is out smartly to deny him the opportunity. It's still all Spurs here, they look more likely to add a second, Norwich aren't really threatening.
STAT: That's Tottenham's first goal from open play in the Premier League this season.
Assist Christian Eriksen
Goal Gylfi Sigurdsson
GOAL! Gylfi Sigurdsson puts Tottenham into the lead with a fine finish at the end of a flowing move. Soldado chested the ball down to Eriksen on the edge of the area. The Dane played a sweet short pass into the area for Sigurdsson to run onto and he finished across Ruddy into the corner from 10 yards.
Christian Eriksen has a chance to deliver in a succession of corners but Norwich defend them all with relative ease and keep Spurs at bay. Getting slightly frustrating for the home fans now.
Chris Hughton's men have come back into this fixture now with soe more possession it's still the hosts who look the most dangerous in the final third.
Paulinho does brilliantly on the right to keep a Tottenham attack moving. Townsend gets away with a poor touch, and then Walker fails to retain possession. Spurs then press Norwich all the way back to their goal but manage a rare break forward until Van Wolfswinkel is dispossessed.
Yellow Card Bradley Johnson
The first booking of the game goes to Bradley Johnson after he takes a couple of chunks out of the wincing Roberto Soldado. The former Valencia man has troubled the Canaries with his movement early on.
Paulinho has a go from about 25 yards out but his shot hits Turner and goes behind for a corner. Eriksen's set piece which follows is easily cleared by Norwich.
Christian Eriksen is muscled off the ball by Bassong after a header down by Soldado. Spurs are happy to mix up their style as they look to find a way past the deep Norwich defense. Andros Townsend's second strike from distance also goes over.
OFF THE POST! A superb effort from Soldado after some fine skill from Eriksen - but no goal for Tottenham! The Dane nutmegged Turner, Ruddy couldn't hold the ball and Soldado improvised - only to see his backheel hit the post.
Danny Rose looks like a threat down the left-flank but Steven Whittaker looks well up for the challenge of going up against him.
Christian Eriksen aims to flick a little cross into the path of Roberto Soldado but Sebastian Bassong is wise to the danger and does well to intervene. Spurs still probing deep in the Norwich half.
Norwich quickly break and Elmander runs into the area, but Vertonghen slides in and manages to put him off.
Andrre Villas-Boas' men are enjoying all the possession in the early stages. Norwich are sitting deep in the own half and are struggling to make any movement up the pitch.
Another shot from long range misses the target for the hosts. This time Andro Townsend jinks one way then the other before firing a low left-footed effort just wide of John Ruddy's left-hand post.
Michael Turner heads away Andros Townsend's clipped cross from the right flank, then Paulinho sees his delivery from a similiar area blocked.
Gylfi Sigurdsson has the first effort of the game. His right-footed shot after cutting in from the left flank is hit over the bar as the Spurs fans chant: "We'll sing what we want".
Tottenham take the kick-off and we are underway at the Lane!
Pre-match huddles have been taken care of. It's a grey, cold afternoon at White Hart Lane. Perfect for a hearty game of Premier League football.
Meanwhile, Roberto Soldado has been assigned a mascot who is nearly as tall as him. Moments away from the action now...
Looking at some of Norwich's stats; the Canaries have only one one of their last 11 league away games. They'll be hoping to curb that trend this afternoon.
Here's a stat for you while we wait for the action to get underway. Spurs have fired more shots off target than any other team so far this season (27). Andre Villas-Boas' men are also yet to score from open play.
Meanwhile Norwich are unchanged after beating Southampton 1-0 last time out.
Christian Eriksen makes his debut, while Gylfi Sigurdsson also starts as Andre Villas-Boas makes two changes to the team that lost 1-0 at Arsenal. Nacer Chadli and the injured Capoue make way.
Norwich (4-4-1-1): Ruddy; Whittaker, Bassong, Turner, Garrido; Snodgrass, Fer, Johnson, Redmond; Elmander; van Wolfswinkel. Subs: Bunn, Martin, Howson, Hooper, Pilkington, Olsson, Tettey.
Tottenham (4-2-3-1) : Lloris; Walker, Dawson, Vertonghen, Rose; Dembele, Paulinho; Townsend, Eriksen, Sigurdsson; Soldado. Subs: Friedel, Kaboul, Naughton, Holtby, Lamela, Sandro, Defoe.
