B. Parker 56'
That's all from me folks, see you next time.
A well worked goal in the second half has given a plucky Bafana Bafana a shock win against the World and European champions. South Africa rode their luck at times, but end 2013 on a high, while Spain have to dust themselves off ahead of the World Cup draw next month.
90' + 6'
Game over! South Africa pull it off!
90' + 5'
KHUNE SAVES THE MATCH AGAIN! Long ball into the box is nodded down by Negredo, and Albiol flicks it towards goal, but the keeper parries!
90' + 4'
Last of the five allotted minutes upon us and Spain seem to have run out of time and ideas.

90' + 2'
KHUNE! Cazorla sprints through the middle before letting fly from 20 yards, but the keeper positions himself well to make the save down low!
90' + 1'
Into stoppage time now, and South Africa have almost seen the job through.
Spain are trying to play their way through the middle, but the hosts are having none of hit. Shut down at every turn, are la Roja.
Reina again proving a more than able deputy, sprinting off his line and hacking away a dangerous through ball ahead of Parker.
Yellow CardLawrence Siphiwe Tshabalala
First touch for Reina, and it's a vital one! Parker was played in behind the defence, but the keeper goes low to cut out his attempted finish!
Reina is indeed allowed to come on for Valdes, and play is resumed. You can understand Igensund's frustration, as Spain are allowed an extra sub outside of the allotted amount. The rule may be flawed, but at the moment it is still the rule, and Spain have gotten a bit of help here.
Spain are allotted six subs in this match, and having already used all of them, are looking for permission to use a seventh to replace Valdes. Gordon Igesund looks furious.
Valdes still getting treated, but there seems to be some controversy on the touchline as Reina readies himself to come on in Valdes' stead.
Andrés Iniesta Luján
Valdes has gone down off the ball in some distress. He'll need some treatment here.
INIESTA! Navas was released on the right hand side, and spotted the Barca man on the penalty spot, but when the cross came in, Iniesta took too long to sort out his feet on what should have been an excellent shooting chance!
PARKER! Now South Africa attack again, the goalscorer coming close to pulling the trigger once again but is harried off at the last by the defence!
NEGREDO! The substitute is found inside the box by Iniesta, but with time to pick his spot, fires it right at Khume!
Good strong punch from Valdes to get rid of a dangerous South Africa free kick. Bafana Bafana not attacking as much as before though, focusing instead on frustrating Spain.
Spain forced outside more and more, as Pedro lines one up from long range, but similarly fails to find the target. La Roja getting desperate?
Jesús Navas González
Alonso is the next man in red to have a go, but he cannot find his range from what was a good shooting position outside the box.
South Africa are doing really well to pack bodies back in their own box, and are frustrating Spain to no end.
Maybe this will be the kick up the backside that Spain need. They've been far too casual when it counts, and South Africa have just shown them what a moment of directness can do.
GoalBernard Melvin Parker
A slick, eye caching move from the hosts, as Parker sells a dummy run by a teammate before clipping the ball over Valdes! Busquets tried to hack it off the line but to no avail, it had already crossed.
SOUTH AFRICA TAKE THE LEAD!
INIESTA! Spain's best chance of the game, as the midfielder tries to angle a finish in from close range, but Khune is on hand to make the save!
Play is back in session, as Cazorla lines up a free kick meticulously, only to shalom it into the first defender.
Jali in some distress down on the deck, and s being helped gingerly to his feet by the physios. Play halted for a bit
NEARLY THE OPENING GOAL! Tahabalala sprints through the middle and releases Rantie. The flag stays down, but with time to pick his spot, he drills it over the top! That should have at least tested Casillas!
Lawrence Siphiwe Tshabalala
Here we go again!
A hard working half from both sides. Spain have seen most of the ball, but some staunch and energetic pressing from the hosts have seen goalmouth action rather hard to come by. Stay tuned for the restart in just a bit.
45' + 3'
45' + 2'
PARKER! The striker heads just, just wide from a corner! Nearly a stunner at the end of the half!
PEDRO! Alonso nearly picks out his diagonal run perfectly, but Khune is off his line quickly to cut out that threat! Alert keeping!
Casillas in a footrace with Furman for a loose ball that escaped down the right, and the Madrid captain just about wins out on this occasion, hacking the ball away.
Xabi Alonso menacingly stands over a free kick. With bodies piling up in the box, he instead goes for the cheeky and tries to bend a low cutter inside the near post, but it succeeds only in rustling the side netting!
Nearly some REAL danger for Bafana Bafana, as Monreal shakes off his marker at the near post, but instead of shooting, opts to cut back towards Pedro, only for Ngconga to intercept!
Maltaba finds time to stretch his legs down the left as South Africa break. He spots Parker making a run to the near post, but Albiol is in position to cut out the cross.
Monreal overlaps excellently down the left and is found by Iniesta. The Arsenal left back whips in a great cross just before the ball goes over the byeline, but it's asking too much of Llorente.
CLASSEN! Not far away from the midfielder, who has space to let fly from 25 yards and does just that, but misses the target by about a foot.
Llorente nearly manhandles Matlaba inside the area when attacking a cross, but Khune is off his line quickly to smother the ball and render his efforts moot.
South Africa looking more comfortable defensively as this one has worn on. They've dropped a little deeper, forcing Spain to play centrally in front of the defence, where they've packed bodies aplenty.
Llorente with a decent sight on goal from Pedro's cross, but heads it off target. Disappointing.
Khumalo with a grown man tackle on Villa, who was squaring up to dart to the byeline and cut one back for Llorente to tap in. Excellent defending!
In one split second, Manyisa escapes down the right flank. He leaves Ramos in his dust, and squares a low cross towards Parker at the far post, but the striker is just a little too far behind the ball! More danger signs from the hosts!
Llorente really gives Spain an interesting option up front. The Juve man plays almost exclusively with his back to goal, but his ability to hold off his defender and play short, simple passes back to the attacking midfielders is causing a few headaches for Bafana Bafana.
Make no mistake, this is a fiercely contested game. As good a warm up as la Roja could have hoped for to end 2013.
SOUTH AFRICA HIT THE BAR! A rare attack from the hosts sees Manyisa's drive take a huge deflection, which leaves Casillas stranded but dinks off the crossbar on its way out of play!
South Africa are pressing Spain without pause here, and it's forcing the World champs to think a lot faster and more direct when on the ball. Can Bafana Bafana keep it up?
Fantastic. The vuvuzela chorus has just kicked into high gear in the stands.
Pedro plays the ball into Llorente, who holds it up expertly and lays off to Iniesta, some 20 yards from goal. The Barca maestro tries to bend one in to the top corner, but gets his bearings all wrong and slices it out for a goal kick.
Iniesta, as ever, has been heavily involved in the opening exchanges, moving from left flank to right flank in a bid to combine with his teammates.
Still, the defensive line from South Africa looks ripe for exploitation. Spain have had a few near misses attempting to release runners in behind.
Spain dominating possession as you would expect, but South Africa are doing their best to disrupt their play, pressing La Roja relentlessly off the ball.
OFFSIDE! South Africa escape punishment for a lazy high line as Iniesta slips in Villa behind the defence, who slots home after rounding the keeper, but the Atletico Madrid man was at least a foot behind the last man.
Here we go! South Africa get us started, moving from left to right.
We're just about ready to kick off here...
A nearly completely reshuffled XI from Vicente Del Bosque with Xabi Alonso the only survivor from the side that beat Equatorial Guinea 2-1 on Saturday night. In come the likes of David Villa, Fernando Llorente and Nacho Monreal.
SPAIN(4-3-3): Casillas; Arbeloa, Albiol, Ramos, Monreal; Busquets, Alonso, Iniesta; Pedro, Llorente, Villa.
SOUTH AFRICA(4-3-2-1): Khune; Ngcongca, Nthethe, Khumalo, Matlaba; Jali, Furman, Manyisa; Claasen, Rantie; Parker.
Lineups are in.
This is the final match of 2013 for both sides, and while Spain are looking for momentum and preparation for the 2014 World Cup, South Africa are simply looking to give their fans something to cheer after failing to negotiate qualification for the finals.
Spain are back in Johannesburg, where they clinched the 2010 World Cup title. La Roja have never lost to South Africa in their thee previous meetings, but needed extra time in 2009 to steal a 3-2 third-place playoff win during the Confederations Cup.
Greetings one and all, and welcome to Spain's friendly matchup with South Africa. I'm Keeghann Sinanan, your guide for all the action.
