Looked shaky for most of the 90 minutes and struggled to deal with the majority of Real Madrid's crosses and set pieces.
Gave Mesut Ozil and Kaka far too much time on the ball on their ventures out to the right hand side. Simply could not deal with the slick passing from Madrid.
Seemed to play out of sync with the rest of his defence. Stepped out at the wrong times and absorbed pressure at the wrong times.
Pulled up on the wing in the 10th minute and was brought off with a groin injury.
Was dominant in the air but looked susceptible whenever a player was dribbling at pace. Had no communication whatsoever with his defensive partner and the back line was often all over the place.
Was ineffective on the right wing as Madrid got back in numbers whenever the winger cut in on his left foot. Did not have the quality on his weaker foot to whip crosses in from the byline.
Did not offer any attacking play and seemed happy to pass the buck when in possession.
Often guilty of silly fouls in midfield which stopped the momentum of his team. Did not offer anything going forward and main duty was to ruffle the feathers of the Madrid midfielders, which did not entirely work.
The only creative influence in the Sevilla midfield and sprayed the ball about nicely at times but was ultimately outnumbered when attempting to roam further forward.
Held the ball up well but his team mates did not seem eager to go up and latch on to some lay offs. Still looked a bit laboured when in possession.
Took both his goals very well and was the only Sevilla player who looked likely to cause Real Madrid problems. However, a horrible pass across his box allowed Ronaldo to put Real Madrid 4-1 up and stop the potential comeback for the home side.
Perhaps should have done better with Negredo's first goal but did not deserve to concede two due to the domination of Real Madrid.
Run of the mill performance and did not do much wrong for the 90 minutes. Solid and reliable, but nothing spectacular.
Distribution from the back should have been better but made some important tackles and took his goal very bravely with a powerful header.
Calmer performance from the Portuguese which allowed him to intercept passes and touches rather than diving in.
Did not have much to deal with defensively and got well forward in the first half. He was more reserved with his attacking in the second period.
Picked passes at will in the midfield area and was the starting point for just about every attack of his side.
Did his job very well in midfield. Many potential Sevilla attacks were stopped with perfectly timed interceptions which in turn allowed Real Madrid to counter attack and cause Sevilla problems, the best example being his side's third goal.
Looks to be getting back to full fitness and enjoyed his time on the pitch as he dribbled with the ball at pace and linked up well with the other attackers. Took his goal wonderfully with a curling shot.
Wonderful performance from start to finish and continually picked out dangerous passes which troubled the Sevilla defence. Switched the ball effortlessly in deeper areas and was clinical with his passing in the final third. Contributed with a hat-trick of assists.
A very unselfish performance from the Frenchman who linked up very well with Cristiano Ronaldo and Mesut Ozil especially. Still, should have grabbed a goal for himself early in the first half.
Four goals for the evening and a general menacing performance from start to end. Not the greatest defence he will face but was ruthless in his finishing and looked dangerous everytime he was on the ball.
- 25 J. Dudek
Was brought on to replace Xabi Alonso in midfield, strangely, and Madrid lost some of the flow in their passing after this substitution.
- 19 E. Garay
Cameo in the late minutes to help keep possession.
Spent his time on the pitch mostly chasing down the Sevilla defenders and did not contribute much to Real Madrid's play.
