The keeper may have been beaten four times, but he was let down by his defence on most of those occasions. Denied Palacio with a great save in the second half.
The German made a couple of excellent challenges in the first half to keep both Palacio and Icardi at bay. He read the play well and had an impressive afternoon.

The right-back had a difficult game up against Nagatomo as the Japanese's pace often got the better of him. He did make an important clearance to deny Icardi in the second half.
Pushed up well on the left in the early stages but left space in behind him which Palacio used to assist the opening goal. Nevertheless, his energy was useful to his side.
Won his side a penalty in the first half but Maxi Lopez failed to convert it. He struggled to cope with the mobility of Palacio in attack.
Had minimal involvement in the centre of the park. He struggled to get close to the ball but did not particularly stand out in any way.
The midfielder played a couple of decent through-balls in the first half but was lucky to stay on the pitch after a number of rash tackles.
The 32-year-old midfielder had a difficult game as he was not allowed enough time on the ball to weave his influence on proceedings.
Looked impressive with his back to goal and at times was too strong for the opposition. His missed penalty did not deter him as he was always a threat.
The Brazilian showed a lack of composure as he received two yellow cards in one minute in the first half. The first was for a dive and the second was for his role in an ensuing scuffle.
Forced a save from Handanovic with a brilliant free kick in the first half, but it was his only moment of real quality in the entire game.
The keeper was in absolutely fantastic form as he performed save after save, most notably from Maxi Lopez's penalty and Sansone's first-half free kick. A deserved clean sheet.
Clipped a great ball down the line for Palacio to assist the opener but failed to offer much else of note to his team's cause.

Offered plenty of width on the left flank and used his pace to make overlapping runs to get into space from which to cross the ball.
The young Croatian made some decent passes in the middle and kept Inter moving across the pitch, however his shooting was not particularly inspiring.
Marshalled the midfield effectively, picking up any loose balls and stopping the three-man defence from being exposed on the counterattack with his positioning.
Was hungry for the ball and eagerly looked to expose any space in the Blucerchiati defence with a pinpoint pass. He earned an assist as his corner was headed home by Samuel.
The Argentine was at his energetic best, showing good movement as he darted in and around the defence. He assisted both Icardi's goals and netted the fourth himself.
Rose above the controversy surrounding his visit to his former club and inspired the Nerazzurri to victory with two clinical finishes.
