Had very little to do, but was prone to the occasional concentration lapse as evidenced in the eighth minute. Blocked a powerful free-kick by Ibrahimovic in the 64th minute, and generally he had a decent game.
An impenetrable wall in the centre of Roma's defence. Pulled off some impeccable sliding tackles and blocks to frustrate Milan upfront.
Showed great positioning and was clean in the tackle. Distributed the ball well from the back.
Worked hard down the flank, but was pinned back for most of the game. Was not much of a threat in the attacking third, but did well defensively.
Rarely troubled defensively and that allowed him to freely bomb forward, which he did superbly. Gave Zambrotta a torrid time with his dribbling and flicks, and even set-up Roma's best chance in the first half.
Taddei has rarely impressed, but the Brazilian silenced his doubters with a fine performance. He was confident in possession, and made a string of good passes.
Picked up an injury midway through the first period.
The tireless midfielder did very well in the centre of the pitch and showed decent work-rate. Even got forward well, and almost grabbed the opener just before the end of the first half.
Distributed the ball superbly, and tackled well. Made a few great runs and impressed with his dribbling.
Once again at the centre of everything good for Roma. His movement off the ball was timed to perfection, his passes were well-weighted and his flicks were wonderful. A great performance.
Added another nightmarish miss to his collection in the first half, and looked short on confidence all game. A match to forget for the Montenegro striker.
Pulled off one particularly good save to deny Vucinic in the first half, and generally had a great game. Commanded his area well.
Had a lot of trouble coping with Cassetti in the first half, and was shaky in defence. His contribution in attack was non-existent.
The veteran had an excellent outing, once again proving that he still has it. Struggled for pace at times, but made up for that with great positioning.
Not very convincing at the back as he made a number of mistakes. Worked hard down the flank, but his crossing was not impressive either.
Aside from a couple minor mistakes, he had a very good game. Strong in the tackle, unbeatable in the air, and precise in his passing.
After a rather anonymous first half, the veteran Dutchman stepped up his game to finish the match on a high note. Threaded a number of good through passes and showed some nice touches on the ball.
M. van Bommel
At his destructive best today as he fought for every ball and was always there to put Francesco Totti under pressure. Distributed the ball well, and tackled hard.
A toothless performance from the midfield enforcer, who, aside from injuring Matteo Brighi, contributed very little to the game. Substituted for Massimo Ambrosini at half-time.
Spent a lot of time complaining about fouls, but did show a lot of desire upfront. Had a powerful free-kick saved in the second half, and generally had a decent game.
The ex-Real Madrid drifted in and out of the game, and was unlucky to hit the right post after the break. Was very dangerous on the ball, and impressed with his technique.
The Ghanian was once again influential in an advanced role, but his wasted chance in the second half takes some points off his mark. Passed well, but his tackling was not of high standard in this game as he was late on more than one occasion.
