Penalty Goal Francesco Totti
90' + 2'
GOOOOOOOOOALLLL!!!! Totti roofs the penalty leaving Muslera with no chance. It's going to be a perfect end to the derby for Roma, but a disappointing one for Lazio.
90' + 1'
Red Card Cristian Ledesma
Assist Fabio Henrique Simplicio
PENALTY TO ROMA....Simplico is brought down by not one, but two defenders in the area after bursting forward from midfield to latch onto Taddei's pass. Ledesma complains and is sent off! It's all going crazy toward the end of the match as six minutes of injury time are added.
Ten-man Lazio are getting desperate. Lichtsteiner's hits a long ball into the area but it's too close to goalkeeper Doni.
Red Card Stefan Radu
Lazio's frustration boils over! After Totti wins a freekick, Radu let's his feelings be known and head-butts the goal-scorer. It wasn't a forceful challenge, but you can't do that and it's a deserved sending off.
Fabio Henrique Simplicio
Montella once scored four goals in a single derby match against Lazio as a player, will he get his first taste of derby victory as a coach today?
Lazio loft a ball into the area, Kozak's arm hits Mexes in the face and play is stopped as the centre-back goes to ground. The contact looked to be unintentional.
Yellow Card David Pizarro
Pizarro gallops forward from midfield but falls to ground after breezing toward Biava. The referee gives the Chilean a yellow card for diving.
Can Lazio find a way back into this game? 12 minutes remaining and they haven't tested the goalkeeper in quite a while.
Lazio make a double change. Kozak and Mauri come on as Zarate and Hernanes make way.
A scuffle nearly breaks out as Totti is bundled over and a boot grazes his face while he lies on the ground.
Roma want another one. The substitute Taddei volleys in a cross and a deflection forces the nervy Muslera to tip it over. From the corner, Burdisso's header is wide.
Goal Francesco Totti
Assist David Pizarro
GOOOOALLLLLLL!!!!!!! Roma win a freekick outside the area and Pizarro taps the set-piece for Totti who powers his strike through the wall and Muslera sees it late. It slips under the goalkeeper and it's 1-0 Roma!
JUST WIDE FROM FLOCCARI! He gets between the two central defenders and heads down Hernanes' pin-point chipped cross, but the downward header misses goal with Doni beaten.
Radu wins a freekick from Pizarro in a dangerous position. Ledesma's freekick curls just wide of the top corner as the crowd gasps and it remains 0-0.
Totti shows his frustration after being crowded out by the Lazio defence. 'Er Pupone' pushes over Lichtsteiner and the referee blows for the foul.
Hernanes' long-range attempt is high and wide. The Brazilian said pre-match that his side would win and he would score. So far he hasn't looked close to his best.
The Frenchman is not happy at coming off and shows his discontent as he takes off his Roma shirt. He eventually goes to take a place on the bench alongside his team-mates.
Menez, who had a mixed match, makes way for Rodrigo Taddei.
Good feet from Zarate. The striker sidesteps his marker and chips a ball into the area that is just over the head of Floccari following Sculli's powerful run into the area.
The rain is pouring down at the Stadio Olimpico and the slick surface is causing a few problems for the players. Totti hits a nice reverse for reverse and wins a corner. Totti's quick corner finds Vucinic, whose shot is deflected to Menez, though the winger fails to get his effort on the turn on target. A good chance is missed.
Lazio look to be more up for the fight in this second period. They win a corner and Ledesma nearly catches Doni off his line, but the Brazilian eventually collects.
And we're back for the second-half!
The referee adds no injury time and first-half ends 0-0. Join us in 15 minutes for the second-half.
Totti, Menez, and Vucinic are growing in confidence and almost connect again in the area. Vucinic's final pass is lacking though and Stendardo clears.
GOAL-LINE CLEARANCE! Totti controls the ball in the area and hits the onrushing Menez, who cuts the ball back for Juan, but Ledesma saves a certain goal with a great sliding tackle!
Yellow Card Daniele De Rossi
De Rossi is the latest to be punished by the match official. Booked after a rather juicy midfield challenge.
Simone Perrotta has been dreadful thus far, he gives the ball away twice in the space of ten seconds with poor touches.
A succession of corners fails to come to fruition for Lazio, as De Rossi makes a last ditch clearance before the ball can reach Zarate waiting at the far post.
A few triangles leave Roma's defence flat-footed as Hernanes escapes on the left side. He whips in a low ball across the face of goal and Floccari just fails to get a touch. Lazio's best chance thus far.
The active Vucinic receives a flick from Totti and squares for Menez on the edge of the area. The Frenchman goes down, the crowd want a penalty....the referee says no!
Captain Francesco Totti is back in the Roma line-up today, but has yet to prove a threat. He wins a freekick though for his team.
A wonderful cross-field pass finds Sculli as Lazio stride forward, but combining with Lichtsteiner results in miscommunication and Roma win back the ball.
The referee adds no injury time and the first-half ends 0-0. Join us in 15 minutes for the second-half.
Menez has yet to get into the game thus far and frustrates Vucinic by overhitting a pass out of play on the left side. Clear cut chances have been few and far between.
A ball played down the line is too long for Menez and he pushes over Radu. Free kick to Lazio.
Yellow Card Mirko Vučinić
A well-worked move sees Lichtsteiner alone deep in Roma territory, but his cross leaves a lot to be desired as it's easily cleared out of the area. The opportunity goes begging.
Vucinic is the latest to be shown a yellow, trying to win back the ball for his side.
Yellow Card Stephan Lichtsteiner
The fouls are started to come thick and fast! Ledesma goes in very late on De Rossi inside the centre circle.
Lichtsteiner picks up a booking after chopping down Vucinic.
The ball's lofted into the box for Floccari, but the goal-shy striker looks short on confidence as Mexes shrugs him aside.
Lazio earn a set-piece in a promising after Vucinic is fouled on the left flank, though it comes to nothing. Roma have had the better of the early exchanges here.
What a start to the match! Pizarro hits the bar with a thunderous effort that had Muslera well beaten. Oh so close to an opener for Roma.
The match kicks off at the Stadio Olimpico! Lets hope for a another hard fought and exciting edition of the Rome derby.
