His passing was near-impeccable all evening as he sprayed an array of balls across the pitch throughout, directing Roma's attacks from deep.
The Belgian took no prisoners in midfield as he showed full commitment in the tackle and got up in support of the forwards too.
The Serbian wasted a great chance early on as he failed to find a team-mate in the box with a cross from space and lacked conviction before being substituted early in the second half.
Struggled to get involved in the action and seemed to commit a goul whenever he looked to get on the end of the ball. He was unable to worry Handanovic.
Looked lively in the opening stages, regularly running in behind, but his final product was disappointing when he got into dangerous areas.
Repelled everything that Roma through at him. He was confident when coming off his line and he made a great save from Pjanic in the second half.
The veteran centre-back was guilty of being a bit sloppy early on, but he soon regained composure and kept a close watch on Destro throughout the night.
A calm performance from the young centre-back as he looked assured on the ball and read the game well to make some important interceptions.
The Brazilian attacked well and continually looked to get in behind the Roma defence in wide areas. Occasionally he left too much space in behind him, though.
The Japanese did not allow much to get past him down the left, but he also failed to offer much of a threat in the wide areas for his team.
Proved himself to be a dangerous target in the opposition penalty area when striding up from the back, and he made a great block to deny Gervinho after the break.
The Argentine saw plenty of the ball in midfield and regularly used it calmly, however he failed to provide the desired penetration and link-up with the strikers.
Patrolled the midfield to good effect and provided an important anchor for Inter as they held a slight upper hand in possession for large parts.
Did get involved in the action and looked dangerous when running into space, but his decision making was not always of the highest quality.
Displayed some very intelligent movement inside the final third, regularly peeling off his marker and into space. However, he was unable to test De Sanctis.
The Argentine got into some great positions but headed the best opportunity of the first half over the top. His combination play with Icardi was promising.
