Rizzoli blows his whistle, and that's that. Inter will take a one-goal lead back to San Siro on May 11.
90' + 3'
90' + 3'
Roma fast running out of time to get back into this. And to add to matters Inter kill some time by bringing on Mariga.
90' + 1'
Simplicio and Vucinic combine to put Inter under severe pressure, but Maicon scrambles the ball out for a corner. There will be four minutes of stoppages.
Pazzini breaks to clinch it, but Doni saves with his legs. So nearly 2-0 for Inter. Roma break but Taddei tries a speculative effort from distance.
Nagatomo does well down the left, but when he crosses it's Riise who meets it first to chest back to Doni.
It's all a bit too slow when Roma have possession and Sneijder carries the ball forward on the break but Inter waste the opportunity.
Pazzini is flagged offside as Inter again look to expose Roma on the break. This could easily end 0-2 or 1-1.
Inter break well again and Sneijder's left-foot volley is blocked by Burdisso, winning the away side a throw-in. Off comes Stankovic, to be replaced by Obi.
Sneijder's snapshot is held at the near post by Doni. Roma are slack enough to let Inter back in, but the holders can't make the most of the second chance.
The final change for Roma sees Cassetti, who has been in the wars tonight, replaced by Aleandro Rosi.
Pazzini immediately steals his way into a good position but picks up a knock for his troubles. When Roma break Vucinic is offside.
Cassetti brings down Milito, and that's the last of the action for the Argentine. He'll be replaced by Pazzini.
Fabio Henrique Simplicio
That last attack by Inter saw the second example of the game of a ball hitting the hand of De Rossi in the Roma box. Both were adjudged to have been ball to hand though.
Inter break after Maicon breaks up a Roma attack, but then the Giallorossi get forward again. Great stuff here at the moment.
Stankovic's crossfield pass just beats Maicon to the touchline as Inter fail to make the most of a good position. There's still not much in this one.
Inter are now attacking in fewer and fewer numbers as they look to hold on to their lead under an increased effort from the home side.
Giampaolo Pazzini is warming up for Inter. Will they bring him on to look for that extra buffer ahead of the return leg?
Taddei puts in two good crosses from the right but Perrotta misses the first and the second is cleared. As Inter break Cassetti is down on the ground, but Pandev can't make the most of it.
Borriello is on the touchline receiving treatment, but it's hard to tell if he's got a cut or whether somebody's trying to sort out his silly haircut. Whatever it is, Menez has come on.
Another Roma free-kick. This time Zanetti fouls De Rossi. Surely one of these will result in something for the Giallorossi.
Yellow CardWesley Sneijder
The Giallorossi maintain the pressure, winning two more free-kicks, the second of which sees Sneijder earn a yellow for body-checking Perrotta.
Yellow CardAndrea Ranocchia
Ranocchia is exposed by Vucinic's pace and resorts to pulling the striker's short, earning a yellow card. Pizarro's free-kick comes to nought though.
Taddei's cross is only half-cleared and Riise blazes over the loose ball as Roma finally open up and look to attack Inter.
Roma are all over the place as Stankovic's cross sees Pandev's header come off De Rossi, but Sneijder takes the ball around Doni and crosses only to see the ball cleared.
Inter hold the possession but it's all in the own half, with Julio Cesar even taking the ball through a challenge from Borriello.
Yellow CardNicolas Burdisso
Cambiasso goes over the ball on Perrotta, given Roma a free-kick. But Riise's restart hits the wall and then Burdisso commits a foul, earning a yellow card.
Lucio is down on the floor after a frankly embarrassing dive after Vucinic stuck his elbow into thin air.
We're back underway for the second half. Will we sit a bit more from the Giallorossi?
45' + 2'
And that's half-time. Not a bad time to score for Inter. They lead 1-0 at the Olimpico just as they did in last year's final. Roma need to show a little more edge in the second half and Mirko Vucinic needs to do...well, something. Join us in 15 minutes to see if either happens. In the meantime send your thoughts to (@krisvoakes) on twitter.
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLL!!!! DEJAN STANKOVIC!!! This guy doesn't know how to score a simple goal. He collected Cambiasso's chipped pass and then hit a shot high across the dive of Doni from 25 yards. Magnificent again from Stankovic.
Vucinic's nightmare continues as he waits for the ball to come to him on the touchline and is beaten to it. Inter break, but Sneijder fires well over.
After Ranocchia heads over in time and space from the corner, but Inter soon win the ball back and Juan is booked for going through the back of Diego Milito.
Juan has to be alert at the near post, and concedes a corner. The Brazilian did well to cut out the cross of his compatriot Maicon after good work by Stankovic.
Cassetti does well to get to the bye-line but his cross is just too high for Borriello at the far post. Roma get a corner nonetheless but it comes to nothing.
Taddei seems to have Nagatomo's number. The Japanese defender couldn't even clear a simple ball thanks to the excellent pressure applied by the Roma winger.
Roma are starting to offer a little bit more on the ball, as you would hope to see really from a home side in a two-legged semi-final.
Taddei goes over in the box, but the referee waves play on. He's stood for no nonsense so far Signor Rizzoli.
Borriello wins a corner off Ranocchia but the home side fail to make the most of it. Inter break well, but Juan steals in when Cambiasso's pass for Sneijder is under-hit.
Juan denies Inter as they build up a nice period of pressure. There hasn't really been a gilt-edged chance since that miss by Vucinic early on.
Lucio does well to deny Perrotta after great work from Cassetti down the right. The Brazilian had to be at full stretch too.
Sneijder and Milito play a one-two but the Dutchman drags his shot wide from 20 yards.
Riise is struggling with an ankle knock and Paolo Castellini is warming up. There's half a chance of an early change here.
Stankovic and Sneijder get into a muddle, gifting the home side a throw-in from which they build up pressure, but Vucinic's pass for Borriello is too heavy.
Sneijder has his free-kick from 25 yards deflected over for a corner, but De Rossi heads away the flag kick.
Mirko Vucinic has certainly had better starts to games this season. His latest episode sees him pick the wrong pass as Roma go on a 4v2 break, allowing Maicon to clear ahead of Borriello.
Borriello is limping along the sidelines after receiving a knock to his right thigh, and his team will have to defend a corner after Pandev forced Burdisso to head away.
Vucinic is too quick for Maicon, and the Brazilian pulls down his man to earn a yellow card. From the free-kcik Pizarro plays the ball short to Vucinic, who blazes over from 25 yards.
Nagatomo does well to knock Taddei off the ball but is then left standing as Pizarro speeds past him. Roma win nothing more than a throw-in though and Inter clear the danger.
Roma are having more of the ball now, but will still be wondering how the Montenegrin failed to score from that chance a couple of minutes ago.
WHAT A MISS BY VUCINIC!! Borriello did well down the left, escaped the attention of Maicon and squared for Vucinic, who had only to side-foot the ball into an empty net, but his touch was off the rear part of his boot and trickled wide of goal. What a let-off for Inter.
Roma are struggling to get much of the ball right now. They need to get a foot hold here.
Yellow CardRodrigo Taddei
The first yellow card comes when Taddei takes down Pandev far too late.
Borriello chases the ball into the right channel as Roma look to attack, but Ranochia covers.
Immediate controversy!!!! A long ball by Cambiasso sees Juan and Doni run into each other and Stankovic lofts the ball high into the empty net, but the Serb had pushed the defender and the goal is ruled out.
Nicola Rizzoli's first whistle gets us underway.
The Roma fans unveiled a big red, yellow and white mural in the Curva Sud as the national anthem was played. Remember, this one carries some history after Totti's red card for kicking out at Balotelli in last year's final. And the last time these two sides met Inter won a thriller 5-3 at San Siro.
This, of course, is the seventh season running in which these two sides have clashed in the Coppa. Five of the previous six were in finals, with Inter winning three to two and also claiming a quarter-final triumph at San Siro two years back.
So the main team news is that apart from strikers Francesco Totti, Samuel Eto'o and Giampaolo Pazzini, we're pretty much looking at two full strength sides. Jeremy Menez sits it out on the bench, but he's been less involved of late anyway.
INTER (4-3-1-2): Julio Cesar; Maicon, Lucio, Ranocchia, Nagatomo; Zanetti, Cambiasso, Stankovic; Sneijder; Pandev, Milito. Subs: Castellazzi, Pazzini, Kharja, Mariga, Obi, Materazzi, Chivu.
ROMA (4-2-3-1): Doni; Cassetti, N. Burdisso, Juan, Riise; Pizarro, De Rossi; Taddei, Perrotta, Vucinic; Borriello. Subs: Lobont, Castellini, Loria, Simplicio, Brighi, Rosi, Menez.
